The JFA has released a 3D floor map and the latest images of each area for blue-ing!, a football culture creation hub opening on December 23.
On November 14, the Japan Football Association (JFA) released a 3D floor map and images of various areas for blue-ing!, a football culture creation hub set to open on December 23, 2023, within Tokyo Dome City in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
The newly released 3D floor map and images showcase two distinct zones: the "PARK area," featuring a memorabilia display, cafe & bar, and a football shop, and the "DISCOVERY area," offering cutting-edge digital experiences, including generative AI.
The 3D floor map is available here: YouTube (JFATV):https://youtu.be/jVvVn5tJ2H8
The floor map recreates the "PARK area" in a 3D movie. Visitors can enjoy various simulated experiences, such as the artificial turf floor resembling a football pitch, football motifs with "blue" as the theme color, wall visuals capturing dynamic moments, and Japan national team matches displayed on a large screen. Additionally, there's a cafe & bar serving unique blue-ing! menu items, and a football shop selling original merchandise and Japan national team goods.
About JFA Football Culture Creation Hub blue-ing!
blue-ing! is a joint project advanced under the basic agreement for town development utilizing football's power and base reorganization, concluded in 2021 between the JFA and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. Supervised by Yoichi Ochiai, Director of the Digital Nature Development Research Center at the University of Tsukuba, it is a next-generation experiential content hub with the concept of a "place for communication and creation that connects to the future." It features areas for enjoying the latest digital exhibits and AI-generated content, alongside event spaces, a cafe/dining area, and a football shop.
The "DISCOVERY area," with Mr. Ochiai's involvement, offers unparalleled ways to enjoy football through cutting-edge technology. Highlights include "ROAD TO 2050," a space for digital archives and exhibits on Japanese football history; "VIRTUAL FIELD," allowing visitors to experience national team players' movements in real scale from various perspectives; and "DREAM THEATER," where generative AI, powered by ChatGPT, creates immersive football visuals and music. This space is designed to be thoroughly enjoyable not only for the football family but also for those who don't typically engage with the sport.
