A new landmark has arrived in a town at the foot of Mt. Fuji. FabCafe Fuji, a space where people and creativity converge, is set to open on November 6, 2022, in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture.

Fujiyoshida City has flourished for over 1,000 years as a weaving town, blessed by its lush green landscape and the cool waters flowing from Mt. Fuji. Today, it is also gaining attention as a city that continues to innovate while honoring tradition, hosting events like exhibitions by textile workshops and art shows that explore new values in weaving through collaborations with creators and artists.
It is in this Fujiyoshida that "FabCafe Fuji" is born. FabCafe is a cafe centered around "Fabrication" (making things), with 13 locations currently open worldwide.
The concept is

At "FabCafe Fuji," digital fabrication machines like risographs are installed within the cafe space, a gathering place for people. Alongside specialty coffee and food and sweets made with local ingredients, including vegetarian options, the cafe offers carefully curated, ethically conscious, and nature-friendly cuisine. It also fosters local craftsmanship, particularly in textiles, a specialty of Fujiyoshida, and nurtures various creative communities.

Located on Honcho Dori street with views of Mt. Fuji, the interior features not only a cafe but also a library corner for art, architecture, and textiles, a space for enjoying risograph printing, and co-working areas. Take a break at the cafe and discover new encounters with people and creative works.
