Designs that bring peace to the city are now appearing in Hiroshima's urban landscape with the "HIROSHIMA DESIGN CHALLENGE 2021."

The "HIROSHIMA DESIGN CHALLENGE 2021" is a project where businesses in Hiroshima Prefecture take the initiative to utilize "design" and collaborate with creators to develop new products and services. Five products and services born from this project will be rolled out in Hiroshima's urban landscape starting mid-September.

The "HIROSHIMA DESIGN CHALLENGE 2021," held from April 12 to May 30, 2021, called for design ideas on the theme of "Designs that bring peace to the city" from businesses in Hiroshima Prefecture. The challenge received 154 entries from 107 individuals/teams nationwide. Following a review by judges Naoto Fukasawa, Makoto Tanijiri, Ai Yoshida, and Takahiro Shibata, five design partners were selected in June of this year. After approximately three months of development, the "Designs that bring peace to the city" were unveiled.

To coincide with the unveiling, a video detailing the journey and achievements of the businesses and design partners involved in this project has also been released. Check the URL below for details.
