The Dutch oven from the Netherlands, COMBECKK, makes its debut in Japan!
Dutch ovens have become an essential item for outdoor cooking. They allow you to enjoy authentic dishes with ease, whether camping or at home.
Although the manufacturing technology for Dutch ovens originated in the Netherlands over 300 years ago, production there had long ceased. In 2016, Dutch designer Mark Suurbier revived it under the name "Combekk." Now, starting in September, Asplund will begin handling the Dutch oven "COMBECKK" (hereinafter referred to as Combekk) in Japan.
The brand name "Combekk" embodies two sentiments: "to restart Dutch oven production in the Netherlands" and "to breathe new life into discarded waste materials." True to its name, it is made from 100% high-quality recycled materials. Notably, the Railway series uses approximately 70% of its material from decommissioned railway tracks. Through Dutch casting techniques, impurities are thoroughly removed during the recycling process, reviving waste materials into exceptionally high-quality components. This commitment to using recycled materials extends to the packaging and cushioning, which are also made from recycled content. We encourage you to experience cooking with the robust and simply designed Dutch oven "Combekk," born in the Netherlands.

【Features of COMBECKK】
● Heats evenly throughout the ingredients, minimizing the risk of burning or other cooking failures.
● The interior is enameled, preventing rust. It develops a good patina and is resistant to chipping or cracking.
● The lid's design allows for even distribution of flavor while also serving as a weight.
● Cooking temperature can be monitored, enabling precise control based on readings.
Compared to conventional cast iron pots, Combekk is made thicker, including the lid, making it heavy. This results in excellent heat retention and ideal, uniform heat distribution for cooking. It excels in all cooking applications, from low-temperature roasts and stews to baking bread and cooking rice. It is naturally rust-resistant, develops a good patina, and features a thin, matte enamel finish. The circular lines and raised circular pattern on the underside of the lid circulate evaporated moisture within the pot, distributing flavor evenly to the ingredients. Furthermore, the flat lid can be used as a bacon press (a weight for searing meat). The thermometer allows for temperature-sensitive cooking without needing to open the lid. Remarkably, the pot itself (excluding the enamel coating) boasts a high quality designed for 40 years of use.
