Submissions are now open for "crQlr Awards," seeking ideas and projects that aim for a circular economy.

FabCafe Global and Loftwork Inc. have launched the "crQlr Awards," Japan's first award program seeking ideas and projects that design a circular economy from around the world. The submission period is open until Friday, October 15, 2021.

As a global award for designing a circular economy, this program champions three core principles: "An award for action, not accolades," "Evaluating in cycles, not straight lines," and "An opportunity to gain a global perspective." It aims to support and explore the realization of a circular economy by collaborating with 19 leading judges from Japan and abroad.

Submissions are open to a wide range of applicants, including companies, organizations, and local governments implementing or planning to implement circular economy initiatives; startups and designers working on projects and products that design a circular economy; and more.

An online event will also be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, featuring businesses and startups that are pioneering circular economy practices. The event will introduce trends and case studies in the circular economy. Details are available on the official website.
