Nakayama Racecourse Reimagined: Undergoing Major Renovations Since Its Opening

To commemorate its 90th anniversary, the Japan Racing Association (JRA) announced a major renovation of its facilities, primarily the grandstands at Nakayama Racecourse. The first phase, which opened on Saturday, September 8, 2018, transformed four areas—the gondola reserved seats, women's restrooms (two locations), and the general information center—into luxurious and comfortable spaces.

With the theme "A Place Loved by Everyone," the gondola reserved seats have been reimagined into a sophisticated, spacious area offering dining while watching the races, and featuring outdoor viewing seats with panoramic views of the entire course. The women's restrooms have been updated with a charming and comfortable design, including a collaboration with Hello Kitty and the installation of user-friendly powder spaces.

Furthermore, limited-edition menus and campaigns celebrating the 90th anniversary are being held, offering unique content only available for a limited time.

With planned character shows for children and enhanced play areas, the venue is also poised to become a popular destination for family outings.
