The secrets and craftsmanship of Takaoka. A new form of manufacturing encountered in the region, 'Creators Meet TAKAOKA,' is held.

Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture is a hub of manufacturing, from traditional crafts to the latest industries. "Creators Meet TAKAOKA," an event seeking to convey the region's charm—including its history, culture, and spirit—and foster new encounters and collaborations with people involved in or interested in manufacturing, will be held on October 7, 2019 (Monday) from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shibuya Hikarie.

This event will feature a talk session with creators active both domestically and internationally, including design activist Kenmei Nagaoka, alongside Takaoka's local artisans. Through traditional craft workshops and networking sessions, it aims to share a glimpse of Takaoka's allure and secrets, while also recruiting participants for a "Model Tour for Creators" to be held in Takaoka City in November.
