The "HIROSHIMA DESIGN CHALLENGE 2021," a project aiming to bring peace to the city of Hiroshima through design, has announced its selected business and design partners. Organized by Hiroshima Prefecture and operated by Loftwork Inc. with support from AWRD, the initiative fosters collaboration between local businesses and creators to develop new products and services. Following a rigorous selection process, five local businesses have been paired with design partners, and their innovative ideas have been revealed.

Design Partners Selected Under the Guidance of Naoto Fukasawa, Makoto Tanijiri, Ai Yoshida, and Takahiro Shibata

This project, themed "Design to Bring Peace to the City," received 154 submissions from 107 teams across Japan.

The selected businesses and design partners will refine and concretize plans for new products and services to be implemented in the city during a "Joint Workshop" held in Hiroshima Prefecture, proceeding with their development and implementation.
The judges will continue to participate as advisors. The spaces and installations created through this project are scheduled to appear in the streets of Hiroshima in early September 2021.
