A Secluded Hotel Where You Can Indulge in Drinks Amidst Nature

bar hotel Hakone Kayama is a secluded hotel with the concept of "staying at a bar." With the exception of a few premium items, all drinks served at the bar are included in the accommodation fee, allowing guests to enjoy their drinks without reservation. Notably, many of the in-room beverages are also complimentary.
Approximately 300 types of alcoholic beverages, including whiskies and cocktails, are available, and guests can enjoy them to their heart's content during bar operating hours.
Check-in and check-out times are also generously set to align with the bar's hours, with check-in at 6:00 PM and check-out at 2:00 PM.
Guests can also enjoy the hot springs, a signature of the Hakone region, and the following day, indulge in a leisurely champagne brunch in the lush, green lounge.
Additionally, a collaboration fair with the Kyoto Distillery's "Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin" is currently being held for a limited time.
"Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin" is a craft gin that blends the traditions of European gin with the essence of "Wa" (Japanese aesthetics), primarily from Kyoto. It is produced at the Kyoto Distillery, a dedicated gin distillery, using Japanese ingredients and incorporating London Dry Gin manufacturing techniques.
While base spirits are typically made from grains or molasses, this craft gin uses rice spirits as its base.
This collaboration features three unique cocktails made with "Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin."
Myojo (Evening Star)
Recipe: Ki No Bi, Sake Kasu Vodka, Mirin
Garnish: Lemon peel, Hana-ho
A twist on the Vesper Martini. This cocktail focuses on the rice spirit of Ki No Bi, incorporating vodka infused with sake lees and mirin made from rice. The herbal and spicy notes of Ki No Bi are enhanced by the floral aroma of sake lees, with the sweetness from mirin providing a solid structure. The cocktail's name is a Japanese translation of Vesper, meaning "evening star."
Basho (Plantain)
Recipe: Ki No Tea, Banana Liqueur, Mascarpone Syrup, Fresh Cream
Garnish: Matcha, Gold leaf
A dessert cocktail that combines the elegant, sweet matcha aroma and smooth texture of Ki No Tea with the gentle sweetness of banana and the creaminess of mascarpone. The cocktail's name is derived from the Japanese name for banana.
Seika (Ginger)
Recipe: Ki No Bi Sei, Yuzu Syrup, Ginger Reduction, Egg White
Garnish: Kinome (young sansho leaf)
This sour-style cocktail leverages the robust character of Ki No Bi Sei. The rich flavors and aromas are complemented by the zest of yuzu and ginger, along with the fragrance of kinome garnish, creating a cocktail that is both refreshing and spicy. The name "Seika" is a portmanteau, combining "Sei" from Ki No Bi Sei and "Se-no-ka," an etymological origin of the word for ginger.
On two special dates during the fair, July 23rd (Saturday) and August 20th (Saturday), a special accommodation plan including a seminar by Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin ambassador Hiroyasu Kato will also be available.
Why not spend an unforgettable time with someone special at this bar-like hotel, enjoying drinks to your heart's content without worrying about the clock?
