The "Sea of Clouds Terrace" at Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU, Hokkaido's largest integrated resort, reopened on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. A new observation deck, extending further out than before, allows for an even closer view of the sea of clouds, while the top floor of the three-story structure offers panoramic vistas of the majestic landscape.

Born from the desire of staff who, accustomed to the sea of clouds visible during summer gondola operations, wanted to share this spectacle with guests, the Sea of Clouds Terrace opened in 2006. It has since welcomed countless visitors annually, reaching a cumulative total of 1.2 million guests by autumn 2020.

The Sea of Clouds Terrace has been renovated to allow visitors to experience the dynamic sea of clouds even more intimately. The deck, which appears to float in the air, now extends further forward, creating the sensation of sailing out into a sea of clouds.

From the approximately 12-meter-high top floor, guests can admire the breathtaking natural scenery, including the vast sea of clouds stretching to the horizon, the Hidaka Mountains, and the sunrise directly ahead. The changing perspectives from different heights offer a unique way to appreciate the overwhelming scale of nature and greet a refreshing morning.

The Sea of Clouds Terrace also features a new indoor cafe, "Cloud Cafe." Here, guests can enjoy new sweets like "Cloud Soft" and "Cloud Macaron," which capture the fluffy texture of clouds, alongside returning favorites such as "Sea of Clouds Coffee" with cloud-shaped marshmallows and "Sea of Clouds Soda" topped with cloud-like cotton candy.
