Hoshino Resorts' Declaration of Highest Standards in COVID-19 Measures

Hoshino Resorts proposes a journey that thoroughly avoids the "three Cs" (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings) as a way to live with COVID-19 long-term, and reaffirms its commitment to implementing the highest standards of coronavirus countermeasures. Each brand has produced and released videos on avoiding the three Cs.

Enhanced Measures to Avoid the Three Cs for Peace of Mind

Hoshino Resorts, which pursues hospitality that embodies Japan's traditions and culture, operates 42 facilities both domestically and internationally. To ensure that guests can "enjoy the extraordinary with peace of mind and free their spirits" when travel becomes possible again after the COVID-19 situation stabilizes, the company has announced two new pillars of its strategy: "hygiene management" and "avoidance of the three Cs."
In terms of hygiene management, in addition to regular cleaning, measures include disinfection throughout the facilities and health checks for staff and guests. At "Hoshinoya" and "KAI" resorts, check-in is conducted in guest rooms to minimize contact with others. At "OMO" and "RISONARE" properties, measures to avoid congestion are strictly enforced, such as maintaining a distance of approximately two meters at the front desk. Automated check-in machines are also utilized at "OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka" and "BEB".

For dining, measures are in place to manage restaurant congestion and stagger entry times. The spacing between tables has been increased, and the format has shifted from buffets to set menus and takeout options. At hot springs and public baths, a "visualization of the three Cs" service, which displays real-time congestion levels on guests' smartphones, has been newly introduced at 15 facilities. Congestion can also be checked at several pool facilities.
As for new travel experiences, a variety of activities are offered, including "Sky Walk" at RISONARE Yatsugatake and RISONARE Atami, "Stream Guide Walk" at Oirase Stream Hotel, and other activities conducted in vast natural settings, as well as activities that can be enjoyed in guest rooms.
