Janu, a World-First Hotel Featuring Extensive Wellness & Spa Facilities and Unique Dining

Janu, meaning 'soul' in Sanskrit, is the sister brand to Aman, which operates resorts and hotels worldwide. Its first hotel, Janu Tokyo, opens in Residence A of Azabudai Hills, a location that fosters a close connection with nature, culture, and art.

Azabudai Hills boasts Japan's tallest skyscraper, approximately 24,000 square meters of lush greenery, offices, residences, an international school, galleries, luxury boutiques, dining establishments, and a high-end food market focusing on Japanese ingredients. Within this vibrant complex, Janu Tokyo, the sole hotel, is designed by the visionary team at Perry Clark Perry Architects. It features 122 guest rooms bathed in natural light, eight restaurants and bars, and an expansive wellness and spa facility, Janu Wellness, covering nearly 4,000 square meters, making it one of Tokyo's largest.
Janu Wellness
Janu Wellness includes a gym of approximately 340 square meters, among the largest in Tokyo, along with five movement studios for group exercises like boxing and spinning. It is fully equipped with facilities for training, recovery, and relaxation. The spacious hydrotherapy and thermal area features a 25-meter heated pool and a separate lounge pool. Adjacent are private spa houses with hammams (Turkish baths) and ban'yas (Russian baths), each with cold and warm plunge pools, as well as nine treatment rooms and a recovery studio with a hyperbaric therapy chamber. These facilities are exclusively available to hotel guests and members of the Janu Tokyo Wellness Collective. Members also have access to a dedicated members' lounge.
The hotel houses eight restaurants and bars. Janu Mercato, an all-day dining venue celebrating Italy's rich culinary heritage, offers a live kitchen for pasta and seafood, a counter for cheese and charcuterie, and dining areas with natural light, as well as terrace seating overlooking the Azabudai Hills courtyard.

The timeless design blends Asian-inspired interiors with contemporary European elements. Many rooms include a private balcony offering views of the city skyline or the surrounding greenery. The Corner Suite and Tower View Suite provide dual-aspect vistas through distinctive windows.
