The Pinnacle of Luxury Rail Travel

The Belmond British Pullman offers an experience of condensed, ultimate luxury. Guests can journey aboard vintage trains that once operated at their peak in the 1920s, such as the Brighton Belle and the Golden Arrow.

Each carriage, named and with its own unique story, evokes a sense of history. Among them are the Ibis, the oldest carriage dating back to 1925, and the Audrey and Vera, which survived the London air raids of 1940. Reflecting on the individual histories of each carriage promises to be a delightful part of the journey.

In the historic Pullman dining cars, guests can enjoy champagne, sandwiches, cakes, and scones, paired with famous blended teas from Fortnum & Mason, the esteemed British department store. The menu also features exquisite seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the British Isles.

Meanwhile, on its sister train, the Belmond Northern Belle, a "Mad Hatter's Afternoon Tea Party" is being held to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." With lively music, magic, and a vibrant presentation including colorful sandwiches, the experience is a direct immersion into Alice's fantastical world.

From the large windows of either train, guests can admire the picturesque English countryside. Aboard the Art Deco carriages, with personal service from the stewards, one can truly feel like a British gentleman or lady of the 1920s or 1930s, savoring the atmosphere of the golden age of rail travel.
