Tokyo Added to This Year's Expanded Scope

Since its establishment in 1958, the prestigious American "Forbes Travel Guide" has evaluated the world's finest hotels, restaurants, and spas using its unique rating system.
Previously, the guide covered 11 cities across the United States, Canada, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. This year, Tokyo, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Mexico, and the Caribbean have been added as new destinations. The 2015 Forbes Travel Guide, the first to include Tokyo, features 115 five-star hotels, 55 five-star restaurants, and 48 five-star spas.

Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, the sole recipient of five stars in two categories, celebrates this joyous news in a year marking its 10th anniversary.
Often described as a "spa in the sky" floating above Tokyo, the hotel's spa is renowned for its original treatments that blend Eastern and Western traditions and techniques. Its comprehensive facilities and skilled therapists offer personalized treatments ranging from aromatherapy to anti-aging.
