Donations of Food and Beverages Also in the U.S. and France

Delta Air Lines began donating food and beverages following changes to its in-flight and lounge services.
In Japan, in response to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' call to reduce food loss, the airline is proceeding with donations of beverages and snacks to food banks across the country.
The total planned donation includes over 13,000 1-liter cartons of orange juice, over 800 2-liter bottles of tea, and over 22,000 individually packaged snacks, with donations scheduled to be completed by May 29.
Delta Air Lines is also engaged in donation activities in other countries and regions. In the United States, it donated approximately 90 tons of fresh food to the food support non-profit Feeding America. Additionally, in partnership with renowned Atlanta chef Linton Hopkins, a long-time Delta partner, the airline is distributing 5,000 meals per week to hospital staff and first responders in Atlanta.
In Nice, France, with the cooperation of a local catering company, individually packaged snacks were distributed to hospitals and healthcare workers. Food and coffee were donated to MIR, an organization that provides free meals and shelter to the homeless and victims of human trafficking.
In addition, Delta Air Lines employees sent meal boxes, typically served on board, to colleagues at reservation and customer care centers who were handling a record number of booking changes.
Delta Air Lines views these food donations as one manifestation of its indomitable "Delta Spirit" amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Its subsidiary, Delta Flight Products, has also begun producing face shields to protect hospital workers.
