From July 5 to August 2, 2018, Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Yatsugatake will offer the "Chardonnay Stay," a 2-night, 3-day accommodation plan for a maximum of five groups, with one group per week, starting on Thursdays. This plan allows guests to enjoy Chardonnay, a white wine variety perfect for summer with its refreshing taste, through comparative tastings. It also features enriching activities, including morning stretches in a private vineyard not usually open to the public. Experience the essence of Japan's renowned wine region, savoring local, celebrated wines and feeling the climate and terroir firsthand. This is a truly special plan that offers the full flavor of the region.

The first night's dinner is at the main dining room, "OTTO SETTE," where guests can indulge in the special course, "Vino e Verdura." This 11-course meal features vegetables as the star ingredient, from appetizers to main dishes and desserts. The experience begins with "Mie Ikkeno Chardonnay 2016," a wine made from grapes meticulously harvested at midnight under the moonlight. Guests can savor the exquisite pairing where the wine enhances the smoky flavor of young corn grilled with its skin on.

On the morning of the second day, guests will participate in "Vineyard Stretch" at the partner winery "Domaine Mie Ikkeno's" vineyard, located a short distance from the hotel and not typically open to the public. This activity involves deep breathing to release bodily tension while taking in the magnificent scenery, which offers panoramic views of Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and even Mt. Fuji. Following the stretch, guests will be served "Mie Ikkeno Chardonnay 2016," a wine produced from grapes grown in this very region. It's a rare opportunity to taste wine made in the place where you can feel the "wind and light" essential for grape cultivation with your entire being.

Furthermore, the wines provided in the guest rooms can be brought to the hotel's designated restaurants free of charge. With the plan's special portable wine cooler and picnic mat, guests are also welcome to enjoy wine freely in the forest on the hotel grounds. The wines served during the stay are from Yamanashi Prefecture, where RISONARE Yatsugatake is located, and the neighboring Nagano Prefecture. The selection includes five types of Chardonnay wines, curated by a sommelier, from Yamanashi and Nagano, including "Mie Ikkeno Chardonnay" from the partner winery "Domaine Mie Ikkeno." From arrival to dinner and moments of relaxation, guests can enjoy their preferred wine throughout their stay. We encourage you to savor each wine according to its unique characteristics.
