STAYCATION

Enjoy your vacation as if you were living there, with our villa sharing service

Three new villas offer the best of Kamakura and Hayama

Staycation has rapidly become a popular concept in recent years. The vacation rental service, aptly named "Staycation," has added a traditional Japanese house in Kita-Kamakura, a design house in Minami-Hayama, and a pet-friendly villa in Hayama's Morito coast to its lineup.

Experience the timeless charm of Kita-Kamakura living

Rent an entire house, villa, or condominium and enjoy a relaxing vacation with family and friends. This new style of travel has been gaining attention in Japan in recent years.

"STAYCATION" is a new vacation rental service for those who want to enjoy both STAY (living) and VACATION (holiday, travel). By "sharing" villas rather than "buying" them, the service effectively utilizes the "empty time" when owners are not using their properties, offering a "living-like stay" experience that cannot be found in hotels or traditional inns.

Staycation, which has previously offered properties in Izu Shimoda, Okinawa, and Hawaii, has now opened three new facilities in Kanagawa Prefecture. "Dongaean Kita-Kamakura" is a traditional Japanese house located just a two-minute walk from Meigetsu-in temple, famous for its hydrangeas. Built in 1937, this charming villa features a veranda perfect for relaxation and a 'yato' (a type of valley unique to Kamakura), allowing guests to experience the timeless lifestyle of Kita-Kamakura.

Meanwhile, "Minami-Hayama Pool House," a modern detached house, is located three minutes from Akiya Beach in Hayama. The open-plan living area, which extends onto the terrace, offers views of both the mountains and the sea of Hayama. At "Morito Kaigan House," just a five-minute walk from Morito Beach in Hayama, guests can even bring their pets along for their stay.

Each facility can accommodate approximately four people at a time, with weekly rates starting from the upper ¥90,000s, making it a reasonably priced option compared to hotel stays. Additionally, "Staycation Sports" offers four locations in the Chiba Southern Boso area, featuring sports and recreational facilities. Guests can choose their accommodation based on their purpose and desired destination.

This travel style offers an experience unlike that of hotels or traditional inns. For your next vacation, why not choose a stay that allows you to relax and live like a local?
