Gilles Peterson, known as a “music revolutionary” for stimulating the music scene from both radio and the dance floor, is invited to present the annual “WORLDWIDE SHOWCASE,” which J-WAVE has hosted to delight music lovers every year. This year’s theme is “magic number 9,” derived from the sum of the digits in the date November 1, 2013, symbolizing the inclusion of all single digits, promising a spectacular session.



This year, eight curated acts from Japan and abroad will perform. Gilles Peterson himself will host, and the West Coast trio THE STEPKIDS, popular for their unique retro-futuristic sound, will unveil their latest live performance. Additionally, Yoshie Nakano of EGO-WRAPPIN' will appear as a guest vocalist.

Furthermore, Toshio Matsuura’s new project “HEX,” set to debut on Blue Note, will offer a first listen to its future jazz sound. Jazztronik, a globally recognized producer and songwriter representing Japan, will deliver a dynamic live performance with strings. The lineup promises to captivate music enthusiasts.
