All-Night Event on Saturday, April 6th, Day Event on Sunday, April 7th
The festival "Sonar" began in Spain in 1994. Its unique format and content, which combine a wide range of cultures with avant-garde and experimental approaches that reflect new music trends, have garnered global attention, attracting audiences from Spain and beyond. The festival also launched in Japan in 2002, featuring performances that are no less impressive than those in its home country.
This year, an all-night event will be held on Saturday, April 6th, and a day event on Sunday, April 7th. Four stages will be set up, including "SonarClub" and "SonarLab" for live performances, and "SonarComplex" for cutting-edge art installations and talk shows, with a total of approximately 50 artists performing.
Karl Hyde of Underworld, who generated significant buzz as the music director for last year's London Olympics opening ceremony, will perform solo, presenting a special set featuring new songs and reinterpreted classics from Underworld. He also actively works as a DJ, producer, and label owner.Boys Noize, LFO, toe, and from Japan, big names like DJ NOBU and Shiro Takatani, as well as the female unit "Nisennenmondai," and other emerging artists will appear. Additionally, related events, "A Taste of Sonar in Osaka," will be held at Universe in Osaka on Friday, April 5th, and Monday, April 8th.
This two-day event offers a chance to experience performances by a stellar lineup of artists and to feel the latest trends in the ever-evolving world of electronic music. Enjoy Sonar's unique blend of genres and experiences.
