The "BIG BEACH FESTIVAL '13," Japan's largest beach party featuring a stellar lineup of artists, returns this year. On Saturday, June 1st, the Makuhari Seaside Park in Chiba City will resonate with electrifying sounds!

Basement Jaxx to Perform Live Set in Japan for the First Time in Three and a Half Years



Inspired by the festival Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, hosted in Brighton, UK, in 2001, the "BIG BEACH FESTIVAL" began five years ago. This early summer tradition, now firmly established in Japan, is back once again!

This year, the festival boasts a spectacular double headliner: Fatboy Slim, the originator of this festival and a hugely popular act, returns for the first time in two years. Additionally, Basement Jaxx, renowned entertainers in the dance music scene, will perform a live set with their full band.

Also featured is Erol Alkan, the charismatic London-based DJ and producer who has been instrumental in introducing dance-rock heavyweights like Justice and Daft Punk to a wider audience. The twin sister duo Nervo, who gained significant attention for co-writing David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over," will also be performing. Making her debut is Maya Jane Coles, a British-Japanese DJ who, at just 24 years old, has become a top-tier DJ, captivating audiences with her exceptional musical talent spanning techno, house, dubstep, and jazz.

The entire beach will be enveloped in music and vibrant energy for one day. General tickets are scheduled to go on sale in May, with more top techno and house DJs expected to be announced soon. Be sure to keep a close eye on the latest updates.
