A Portion of Proceeds Donated to NGO Plan Japan
This year marks the return of 'Women in JAZZ,' an event that aims to empower girls in developing nations, who face realities such as early marriage, lack of educational opportunities, violence, and abuse due to poverty or gender. By providing education, we can help them overcome these challenges and, with the power of women, create a happier world.
For its fourth iteration, the event boasts a stellar lineup including jazz vocalists Yasuko Agawa, MARIN, and meg, internationally acclaimed jazz pianist Junko Moriya, and jazz violinist Junko Makiyama. Adding to the excitement, the MASATO HONDA B.B. STATION big band will deliver a powerful performance.
A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the 'Because I am a Girl' campaign, run by the NGO Plan Japan. This initiative supports girls in marginalized communities across Asia and Africa, equipping them with the 'power to live' through education.
We invite you to enjoy the jazzy stage presented by Japan's leading female singers and the uplifting sounds of the big band, all while envisioning the bright smiles of these girls.
