Live Event 'REVOLUTION ROCK～Joe Strummer of Love～' to Be Held
This year marks a decade since the passing of Joe Strummer, the vocalist of the legendary punk rock band The Clash, who continues to command fervent admiration. To honor his legacy, a tribute concert, 'REVOLUTION ROCK～Joe Strummer of Love～,' featuring artists he inspired, will take place on December 17th (Monday) at Liquid Room in Ebisu.

The Clash, a band from London, England, was active from 1976 to 1986. Alongside the Sex Pistols, they were hailed as titans of London punk. Yet, they transcended the stereotypical punk mold, voraciously absorbing musical elements like reggae and dub to forge a unique identity that profoundly influenced the scene. Joe Strummer, in particular, captivated many with his punk spirit and distinctive voice. As the frontman of The Clash, he was the band's anchor and a significant inspiration to subsequent musicians.

'REVOLUTION ROCK～Joe Strummer of Love～,' commemorating Joe Strummer's 10th anniversary since his passing, will feature live performances by bands such as "Katte ni Shiyagare," "N'夙川BOYS," "Odorou Machida," "FREAK STORM," and "SuiseiNoboAz." Additionally, DJs including Kenichi Ohnuki of "LONDON NITE," Kouji Ueno of "the HIATUS," YOU-DIE!!, and Yutaka Chikuchi will gather to celebrate his monumental music.
In conjunction with this event, a photo exhibition by Noboru Kikuchi, titled '1982 THE CLASH photographer sho kikuchi,' showcasing images taken during The Clash's 1982 tour of Japan, will be held at Gallery KATA, located on the second floor of the same building as Liquid Room, from December 17th (Monday) to the 22nd (Saturday), Joe Strummer's death anniversary. With many previously unseen photographs on display, this promises to be an unmissable opportunity for fans.
A decade after his departure, Joe Strummer's appeal endures, drawing fervent admiration. We invite you to reflect on his music and way of life alongside the men he inspired.
