The Respect for the Aged Day Special Plan kicks off with the Bob James Quintet featuring Steve Gadd, Will Lee, Dave MacMurray & Perry Hughes performing their "CTI Years" from Monday, September 3rd to Wednesday, 5th. This keyboardist, a leading figure in contemporary jazz, presents a luxurious special session themed around "CTI."

On Thursday, September 27th and Friday, 28th, it's Rickie Lee Jones. The American singer-songwriter, who won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist with her 1979 album "Rickie Lee Jones" which reached number 3 on the US charts, visits Japan with her new album "The Devil You Know," produced by Ben Harper. This is an artist to be savored in the intimate setting of Blue Note Tokyo.
