Recently, the event “HANAVIVA 2019 powered by AMERICAN EXPRESS” was held. This event, which fused entertainment such as art, music, and food with fireworks, brought together approximately 2,000 guests who thoroughly enjoyed “the best summer day.”

On Saturday, July 13, 2019, the event “HANAVIVA 2019 powered by AMERICAN EXPRESS,” a fusion of fireworks and entertainment, was held.

At the venue, set up at the Yokohama Port Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal, various food stalls, DJ sets, dance performances, live painting, and art workshops were offered. Guests of all ages, from adults to children, enjoyed the event's content.

The food offerings were also abundant and perfect for summer. Participating vendors included “BROOKLYN RIBBON FRIES,” offering uniquely spiral-cut fries and handmade ginger ale; “Guzman y Gomez,” an Australian fast-casual Mexican diner; Taiwan's popular “ICE MONSTER” for its innovative shaved ice; and “Little Darling Coffee Roasters,” an original roaster cafe from Transit General Office, all providing special tie-up food items.

Particularly noteworthy were the benefits of the VIP seats (1.5 million yen). Dedicated seating was provided in the art, music, and food area, as well as at the fireworks venue. Guests could savor a buffet in the VIP lounge within the art, music, and food area. At the fireworks venue, a space with comfortable sofas allowed for relaxed viewing. The VIP seating area exuded an ambiance akin to a high-end French restaurant, where guests thoroughly enjoyed the pairing of welcome champagne and special food. The presence of a dedicated VIP DJ booth, offering close-up music enjoyment, was also a delightful point for music enthusiasts.

While DJs such as TOMOYUKI TANAKA (FPM), Arisa Urahama, and neufneuf graced the decks, live painting and dance performances further energized the atmosphere. Additionally, the group “Deco Deco,” comprised of artists certified in face and body painting, offered playful face painting for guests.

Furthermore, when the globally acclaimed “Samurai Guitarist” MIYAVI took the stage, the venue's energy surged. He showcased his unique “slap technique,” playing entirely with his fingers without a pick, delivering a breathtaking live performance that captivated the audience.

To conclude the event, signaled by the Hikawa Maru's ship horn in Yokohama Port, 3,000 fireworks of the Yokohama Sparkling Twilight 2019 display were launched, met with thunderous cheers.

Guests fully enjoyed the interplay of food, entertainment, and fireworks, experiencing “the best summer day.”
