What is TOKYO PHOTO?
Launched in 2009, TOKYO PHOTO is one of Asia's largest photo fairs, featuring internationally acclaimed art galleries, museums, and photographers, and allowing visitors to purchase works. In its fourth year, TOKYO PHOTO 2012 aims to draw the global art scene's currents to Tokyo by presenting a rich international array of world-class content, works, and programs.
To fully enjoy photography as art at this fair, Tomohiro Harada, the representative of TOKYO PHOTO, has selected artists not to be missed by OPENERS readers, and shares his thoughts on photography.
This is a precious opportunity to feel the pulse of the art photography market and to experience the joy of purchasing and owning authentic artworks. We hope you will fully appreciate the wonderful photographs on display.
