To commemorate its second anniversary on March 16, 2023, the luxury lifestyle hotel W Osaka will host "Sushi Champagne Night," an event blending sushi, champagne, and DJs, on Saturday, March 11.

W Osaka, the first W brand hotel in Japan from Marriott International's luxury lifestyle hotel brand "W," opened on the Midosuji, Osaka's main thoroughfare, in March 2021, aiming to be a "destination hotel" rather than just a place to stay.

In March 2023, to celebrate its second anniversary, the hotel will host "Sushi Champagne Night 2023 feat. Ginza Hakkoku," an anniversary event that fuses sushi, champagne, and DJs.

"Sushi Champagne Night" is an event where guests can indulge in the exquisite pairing of supreme sushi from a Michelin-starred and award-winning establishment with carefully selected champagnes, accompanied by performances from DJs and musicians active both domestically and internationally.

The collaboration for this event is with "Hakkoku," a renowned Ginza restaurant known for being difficult to reserve. Chef Hiroyuki Sato trained for six years from the age of 25 at "Shinsen Akizuki." In March 2013, he became the head chef at "Ginza Sushi Tokami," where he perfected his tuna preparations and quickly gained acclaim with his unique red vinegar sushi rice, making it a話題店 (talk of the town). In 2018, he opened "Hakkoku," catering to celebrities and top artists worldwide, consistently recording full bookings.

At the "Bubble Garden," the main venue, booths from over 20 champagne houses will be set up, allowing guests to order champagne by the glass. This offers a chance to fully enjoy the profound combination of sushi and champagne.

Additionally, in a separate venue, a "Premium Sushi Dining" experience will be held, where guests can savor supreme sushi prepared before their eyes by Hakkoku's master chef Hiroyuki Sato, paired with champagne. This is a fully reservation-based event where guests can experience the chef's refined craftsmanship and exquisite sushi with all five senses.

The special guest DJ is Darren Emerson, a former member of the legendary unit "Underworld," who continues to attract global attention. After leaving the group in 2000, he dedicated himself to DJing and ramped up activities with his own record label, Underwater. Releases on the label by Tim Deluxe, Gus Gus, and Sharam Jey became bestsellers. Since then, he has been a central figure in the music scene, performing at major festivals worldwide.

This marks the third time "Sushi Champagne Night" has been held at W Osaka, and past events have been immensely successful. The sophisticated yet bold marriage of sushi, champagne, and DJ sets is an experience unique to this event. It's an occasion definitely worth attending.
