Original Cocktails for Summer, Collaborating with "mitosaya Botanical Distillery"

THE TOKYO EDITION, TORANOMON has collaborated with "mitosaya Botanical Distillery." From July 1 (Thursday) to August 31 (Tuesday), 2021, the Lobby Bar on the 31st floor will host a limited-time event, "EDITION SUMMER BOTANICAL COCKTAIL WITH MITOSAYA," offering original cocktails unique to the summer season.

Featuring Spirits Distilled from Botanicals and Fruits Grown in a Natural Environment

THE TOKYO EDITION, TORANOMON, celebrating its first summer since opening, has created original cocktails perfect for the season in collaboration with "mitosaya Botanical Distillery," located on the Boso Peninsula.
"mitosaya Botanical Distillery" was established in 2017 as Japan's first eau-de-vie distillery. "Eau-de-vie" is French for "water of life," meaning distilled spirits. The name derives from "mi" (fruit), a symbol of fruition, and "saya" (pod), which encloses it. The distillery has gained popularity for its products, meticulously distilled using not only the fruits of botanicals and fruits grown in environments as close to nature as possible, but also their leaves, roots, and even pods.
For this collaboration, the offerings change with the seasons. Among the unique and aromatic spirits that capture Japan's distinct four seasons, five were carefully selected for their suitability for summer: refreshing, assertive, and memorable.
Rout Collins
The highball-style "Rout Collins" is based on "G&R KICKS," a subtly spicy spirit blending herbs and spices like bay leaf, curry leaf, Vietnamese coriander, and ginger with a sharp citrus brandy. It is then combined with rum, apple, beet, citrus, and soda.
In addition, the lineup includes "Ramos Gin Fizz with Kiwi," a refreshing yet dessert-like cocktail that pairs the New Orleans classic with a distinctive kiwi eau-de-vie; "Melon and Orange Blossom"; "Two Apples Martini"; and "Forest-Scented Mojito." These cocktails have been crafted into a new style by combining them with EDITION's minimal and sophisticated aesthetic.
