'Kyo no Nihonshu' operates under the brand concept of 'a specialty store for 180ml sake bottles to enrich your day,' aiming to deliver Japan's diverse and captivating sakes in perfectly portioned 180ml bottles. Launched in November 2021, it is Japan's first brand to focus exclusively on this format, addressing the desire to enjoy sake without the commitment of larger bottles and the wish to sample various brands.
The brand's first aged sake, Iwase Shuzo's 'Iwai no Ii Hizo Koshu Nijunenshi,' is now available through the official online shop and at the "eatrip soil" specialty store in Omotesando. Aged sake, with its rich and unique flavors and aromas, offers a satisfying experience even in small quantities, making larger bottles sometimes daunting for consumers. The new 180ml size makes this exquisite sake more accessible, perfect for first-time buyers or as a gift.
'Iwai no Ii Hizo Koshu Nijunenshi' is an authentic aged sake, matured for an impressive 20 years. It offers a profound sense of aged complexity, with layered notes of nuts, caramel, and kombu, a testament to the rich flavors developed over two decades.
The official online shop also features a tasting set allowing customers to compare three precious aged and matured sakes from different aging periods—two, five, and twenty years—all in 180ml bottles. Alongside 'Iwai no Ii Hizo Koshu Nijunenshi,' the set includes 'Tatsuryoku Junmai Daiginjo Five-Year Aged' and 'Koganesawa Yamahai Junmai Ni-Year Aged.'
Why not take this opportunity to explore the world of aged sake, which might have previously seemed out of reach?
