From house-made pizzas and paninis to fruit tarts, a diverse menu awaits.

"CAFÉ 33" is a collaborative project between "Hokodo," a long-established Uji tea purveyor with 190 years of history, credited with opening Japan's first coffee shop; "Still Foods," a leader in the food and beverage industry that develops and operates various businesses including restaurants and cafes; and "The National Parks Foundation Imperial Palace Outer Garden."
While aiming to create a facility that enhances convenience in line with modern preferences, the cafe is committed to revitalization and local sourcing, actively incorporating ingredients from producers across the country. The operation strives to be a place of relaxation for many users, respecting the park and its historic surroundings.
The interior, designed to harmonize with the lush greenery of the park, features a color scheme based on white and green, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of resting within a forest. The terrace seating, where guests can bring their pets, is equipped with parasols, making it comfortable even during sunny periods.
Furthermore, a solar power generation system is installed on the roof, utilizing this green energy to power parts of the cafe. A large display case inside showcases freshly baked sandwiches and desserts. The exhibition area features information and materials about the park, allowing visitors to learn about the area's history while enjoying a drink.
Ingredients are actively sourced from the Tohoku region and local produce from Tokyo. A diverse menu is available, suitable for any time of day.
Signature items include house-made sandwiches served warm, prepared fresh in the cafe each morning, and "Pizza al Taglio," a Roman-style square pizza offered in five varieties using seasonal ingredients, alongside the classic Margherita.
Other offerings include meals such as curry and loco moco made with "Koshihikari" rice from Miyazaki Prefecture, as well as desserts like tiramisu, seasonal fruit tarts, and soft-serve ice cream.
The drink menu features classic cafe beverages, original non-alcoholic cocktails from CAFÉ 33, and Italian beer such as "Peroni," among other options. A collaboration coffee with Hokodo is also planned for sale.
All menu items are available for takeout, allowing guests to enjoy meals and drinks while strolling through the forest park. It is undoubtedly a unique spot where one can dine amidst rich greenery, even while in the city.
