Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008 will be sequentially released starting in early March 2022. This is a rosé vintage that dons the 'red' of Pinot Noir, radiating a wild brilliance, capturing power and abundant vitality within the Maison's proud, bold assemblage (blending).

The grapes selected for Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage are said to originate from a quest for freedom that expands the boundaries of creation without being bound by convention. In that sense, the year 2008, which was an unusual year, seems to have provided an ideal opportunity for such exploration.

From 2000 to 2010, the Champagne region is said to have enjoyed favorable weather. However, the spring and summer of 2008 were overcast, marked by not only insufficient sunshine but also low temperatures. Yet, clear skies and wind in September miraculously transformed the situation. The ripeness of the grapes far exceeded expectations, resulting in sound wines with an unprecedentedly high level of balance.

Furthermore, Dom Pérignon's signature bold assemblage created a unique rosé vintage. Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008 reinterprets convention, unbound by the traditional thinking recognized in the Champagne region. The balance of fruitiness and structure, using Pinot Noir from the Champ de Liotta in Hautvillers and the village of Aÿ, harmonizes the tension created by the precision and natural brilliance of a more full-bodied, profound wine.

After approximately 12 years of meticulous cellar management and slow maturation, its taste reveals a bouquet that opens instantly, with notes of raspberry and wild strawberry spreading, joined by the scent of violet symbolizing the terroir of Hautvillers. The acidity, clearly expressing the structure of Pinot Noir, outlines the wine's vibrant personality.
