Pernod Ricard Japan has launched a limited edition design bottle, "Royal Salute 21 Year Old Richard Quinn Edition," a collaboration with young British designer Richard Quinn, for its Scotch whisky "Royal Salute."

Royal Salute is a Scotch whisky named after the 21-gun salute, a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation in 1953.

Its flagship item, the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Signature Blend, inherits this dignity and tradition. It is a blended Scotch whisky characterized by a fruity and smooth taste, created by blending rare malt and grain whiskies, each aged for 21 years or more.

The elegant bottle for this collaboration was designed by Richard Quinn, a young genius British designer who was personally awarded the "Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design" by Queen Elizabeth II.

The brand's first decorated bottle features blue roses, resonating with Royal Salute's noble and unique brand world, and thistles, the national flower of Scotland, expressing strength and edginess. Each is a supreme expression that should be a collectible item, representing a noble taste.

The taste and aroma are also special. Royal Salute's Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, drew inspiration from this vibrant floral design and carefully selected 31 types of malt and grain whiskies, all aged 21 years or more, to match Richard Quinn's age of 31. The result is a whisky with a fragrant, deep flavor like flowers, and a pleasant balance of oak and spice.
