The Garden Oriental Osaka Hosts Its First Cherry Blossom Festival
At THE GARDEN ORIENTAL OSAKA, which opened last autumn on the former Osaka City Hall site, two cherry blossom viewing events will be held from Thursday, April 2nd to Wednesday, April 15th. A special "Garden Seat" and a limited-time "Standing Bar" will be available, allowing guests to enjoy spectacular cherry blossom views from the expansive garden.

Savor Aged Steak While Enjoying the Cherry Blossoms
The Garden Oriental Osaka is a talked-about spot, utilizing the former "Osaka City Hall."
Since its creation as a guesthouse in 1959, it has hosted numerous distinguished guests, including prime ministers, as a place of natural beauty with its modern Western-style architecture and gardens blooming with seasonal flowers. In November 2014, it reopened as a restaurant and bridal facility. Its charm lies in the luxurious space, based on modernist design, with furniture and interior decorations unified in a mid-century style.
The "THE GARDEN ORIENTAL OSAKA Cherry Blossom Festival 2015," held for the first time this year, coincides with the "Sakura no Torinuke" (Cherry Blossom Walk-Through) event, where the street along the Okawa River, known as a cherry blossom hotspot in Osaka, is opened to the public.
Special "Garden Seats" will be set up in the vast 4000-tsubo garden along the Okawa River, offering views of the cherry tree-lined avenue, allowing guests to enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a private space away from the city's hustle and bustle. At night, illuminated cherry blossoms under spotlights create a magical atmosphere, not to be missed. The chapel within the garden will transform into a "Standing Bar" for this limited period, offering a lineup of special cherry blossom-themed cocktails, champagne, and wine.
Guests dining at the popular steakhouse can also enjoy the cherry blossoms, which is a delightful bonus. The restaurant uses lean beef from Black Angus cattle, one of the world's three major breeds, aged for over three weeks. Cooked slowly at high temperatures with attention to resting periods, the steak is finished to be juicy and tender.
