The Event Name: A Blend of "Wine" and Yamagata's "~daze" Dialect
Yamagata Prefecture, ranking third in Japan for grape production, is a leading wine-producing region, following Hokkaido, Yamanashi, and Nagano. "Vindange" is a French word for wine, and the event name is a coined term combining "vin" (wine) with the Yamagata dialect ending "~daze." It also alludes to "vendange," meaning "harvest," which is the origin of the word "vintage." Organized by the Prefectural Wine and Spirits Association, this marks the third year of the event. Zao Woody Farm & Winery will newly participate.

At the venue, you can enjoy the proud wines from 12 wineries, with winemakers directly pouring from the bottle into your glass and sharing insights into their wines. Additionally, dishes made with Yamagata ingredients will be available to complement the wine. Participating eateries include "Al Checciano," a renowned restaurant in Tsuruoka by Chef Masayuki Okuda; "Signifiant Signifié," a popular bakery in Sangenjaya, Tokyo; and "Il Cotechino," a natural Italian restaurant in Yamagata City opened by Chef Taishi Satake, who trained in Italy.
In the shop corner, you can purchase wines you enjoyed and traditional Yamagata vegetables. This allows you to savor the tastes of Yamagata even after returning home, making them perfect for gifts as well as personal enjoyment. Tickets are available at e+ (eplus) and at each winery in Yamagata Prefecture.
