Campaign to Win a Trip to Malaysia Also Underway
The Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board is collaborating with hotels and restaurants to promote Malaysian food culture through a gourmet campaign with the slogan "SUDAH MAKAN?" (Have you eaten?), a common phrase in Malay. Culinary researcher KOU Kentetsu has been appointed as the "Malaysia Food Goodwill Ambassador" to lead various promotional activities.
As part of this promotion, Shangri-La Tokyo is also featuring an event where a Malaysian chef presents authentic flavors. The menu includes à la carte options such as Nasi Lemak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Curry Laksa. During lunchtime, a "Malaysian Bento" is available, featuring a selection of Malaysian delights like green curry and coconut milk soup.
Additionally, a "After 5" set menu offers spicy finger foods like chickpea croquettes and fried shrimp wontons, perfect for after work. Cocktails inspired by Malaysia are also on the menu.
Furthermore, a lucky draw campaign is being held where customers who order Malaysian food items can win a prize of a 3-night stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort Kota Kinabalu, including round-trip tickets on Malaysia Airlines, for one pair of winners.
