A Luxurious Event to Experience Austrian Culture

The Esterházy family, originally from the Kingdom of Hungary, was granted nobility by the Habsburg Empire in the 17th century and continues to be a distinguished lineage spanning over 400 years. They are known for maintaining their palace in Eisenstadt, Austria, and for producing world-class wines from their vast estates. This event, held in cooperation with the Esterházy Foundation, offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a screening of an opera alongside a special dinner.

EVENT | "A Night of Esterhazy" 03

The opera featured is "Aida," performed this summer at the St. Margarethen quarry, an open-air arena owned by the family and a renowned tourist destination. This work, famously composed by Giuseppe Verdi, captivated audiences with its innovative staging, which projected visuals and lighting onto the natural rock face of the venue. This will be its first public screening outside of Austria.
