At Conrad Tokyo's all-day dining restaurant "Cerise," the limited-edition Halloween "Halloween Magic" Sweet Buffet begins on September 14 (Saturday). Enjoy autumn flavors themed around magic and Halloween-themed sweets and savories.
Sweets that evoke a magical surprise
This year's theme for Cerise's ever-popular Halloween-limited sweet buffet is "Halloween Magic." The world is brought to life with a variety of magical sweets and savories created by the chef's craftsmanship, and a display that seems to have sprung from a picture book. In a sophisticated space with a mysterious ambiance, sweets and savories inspired by "magic" and Halloween's "Trick or Treat" are presented.
The sweets, primarily in red, black, and white to evoke card magic, also offer a surprise when eaten. The spider chili chocolate mousse, designed like a spiderweb, has a surprising spicy kick despite being a dessert. Additionally, the purple sweet potato mousse, topped with a chocolate cross, contains preserved chestnuts hidden within, covered in cacao nibs to obscure the presence of the chestnuts.
The vibrant red raspberry and lychee capsules are designed for a single bite. Enjoy the burst of liquid in your mouth, or use them as a sauce for other sweets. Furthermore, to commemorate Hilton's 100th anniversary, Conrad Tokyo, Hilton's luxury brand, presents a velvet cupcake. Originating as a signature dish at the Waldorf Astoria in New York in the 1920s, this historically significant Hilton dessert also appears in a special Halloween edition.
The savories feature items using autumnal ingredients in Halloween-appropriate colors. The Earl Grey-scented raisin and pumpkin cullen's pie, and the Mont Blanc-style foie gras mousse offer a savory contrast, with a perfect balance of sweet simmered chestnuts and duck leg confit. The slider (mini burger) on bamboo charcoal buns is filled with roast beef and sea urchin scramble, served with sea urchin mayonnaise.
The delicate and creative sweets and savories, born from the chef's magic, create an enchanting and festive Halloween moment.
