Wine Bar “wine & music RUBATO” Also Opens in Karuizawa on July 18th

CADENZARE was born from the desire to offer carefully selected wines and live opera performances in a relaxed setting. The name, derived from a musical term meaning 'a solo passage in an opera or concerto, not accompanied by the orchestra, in which the performer plays elaborate improvisations,' reflects the aspiration to showcase diverse talents.

The interior features 18 seats, including piano counter seats and bar counter seats. Owner sommelier Mayumi Nagata has meticulously selected wines, focusing on Champagne and Burgundy. The menu is thoughtfully designed for wine pairings, offering à la carte options alongside set courses (starting from ¥3,000).

Particularly noteworthy is the "Cheese Risotto" (¥1,000), a dish perfected by the chef to complement wines. It features a rich blend of three or more cheeses, enhanced with a touch of a more distinctive cheese to create a harmonious balance. It's a must-try.

On weekends, the bar occasionally hosts live performances of various genres, including jazz and classical music. It seems like the perfect place to savor the synergy of exquisite wines and culinary creations while enjoying sophisticated live music played on a grand piano.

Furthermore, on July 18th (Friday), another wine bar, “wine & music RUBATO,” will open in Karuizawa. This venue is slated to host various performances, including dinner concerts of jazz and classical music, as well as rakugo and kodan storytelling.

Imagine spending a luxurious time enjoying music and wine, both in the heart of the city and in the tranquil, unhurried atmosphere of Karuizawa.
