Château de Beaucastel, located in the village of Correns in France's Provence region, is home to Château Miraval. At an altitude of 350 meters, its 500-hectare vineyard experiences significant temperature differences between day and night. The soil, a blend of clay and limestone, offers excellent drainage, fostering the growth of delicious grapes that yield fresh and balanced wines.

Historically, Château de Beaucastel served as a monastery guesthouse and a residence for royalty and nobility. In 1970, it was acquired by the renowned jazz pianist and composer Jacques Loussier, who established a recording studio. The château subsequently welcomed numerous famous musicians, including Pink Floyd and Sting, for recording sessions. Today, Château Miraval is owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as their vacation home, serving as a hub for various arts, including music, film, theater, local cuisine, and wine.

It was through a mutual friend in 2012 that the couple met the Perrin family, the proprietors of Famille Perrin, a leading family-run winery in the Southern Rhône Valley renowned for its organic wine production. This encounter marked the beginning of their joint project, "Miraval," with the first vintage released last year.

The couple, who share Famille Perrin's philosophy of organic cultivation and maximizing the land's characteristics, collaborated with the Perrin family on every aspect, from the desired rosé flavor profile to the blending and bottle design.

The "Château de Beaucastel" released last year achieved the top ranking for a rosé wine in Wine Spectator's 2013 Top 100 list and sold out in every country where it was released, attesting to its exceptional taste. This year, a new wine will be unveiled on the summer solstice, celebrating the beginning of summer.

In Provence, there is a tradition of celebrating the arrival of summer on the solstice with music, fireworks, and outdoor gatherings featuring wine and food. Miraval Rosé, born in this region, may be best enjoyed while celebrating the start of summer, whether at a restaurant, on the beach, during a picnic, or at a home party.
