Piacere, named after the Italian word for "pleasure," is the signature restaurant at Shangri-La Tokyo, offering contemporary Italian cuisine that is both simple and highly creative.

Piacere

At Piacere, starting June 11 (Wed.), "Aria Night" will begin, offering live performances by opera singers every Wednesday during dinner time. The program will feature well-known opera pieces such as "O mio babbino caro" from Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi" and the "Brindisi" from Verdi's "La Traviata," performed in four sessions with two to three songs each. The best part is that there is no music charge.

The restaurant, with its breathtaking views of the glittering Tokyo nightscape, including Marunouchi and the Imperial Palace, from above Tokyo Station, features a soaring ceiling with Venetian glass chandeliers, creating an atmosphere akin to an opera house. Why not spend an elegant dinner on a Wednesday night in a dramatic space woven by the beautiful, resonant soprano voices?
