MANIN Omotesando: Enjoying the Marriage of Japanese Cuisine and Wine

MANIN Omotesando has opened as a sister restaurant to Daikanyama's "Manin" and Ebisu's "Manin," known for their specialty soba and shabu-shabu. Here, you can savor Japanese cuisine that honors tradition, paired with wines and champagnes carefully selected by a sommelier.

Featuring Over 30 Types of Wine and Champagne from Around the World

Stepping just a few seconds off the main Omotesando street into a back alley reveals "MANIN." Inside the stylish yet calm interior, based in white, you'll find a space with 9 counter seats and 20 table seats.

The standout feature of the Omotesando branch is its extensive selection of over 30 types of wines and champagnes from around the globe, curated by the sommelier. These can be enjoyed alongside dishes like the black pork shabu-shabu, a signature of "Manin" in Daikanyama, beloved for over 20 years.

Furthermore, the Omotesando branch introduces its exclusive menu item, "Shabu Chabli." This shabu-shabu features Hitachi beef with its rich marbling, prepared with a luxurious pour of an entire bottle of Chablis William Fèvre, a highly popular white wine. The dish retains a fruity essence within the delicate dashi broth.

The wine not only tenderizes the beef fibers, achieving a melt-in-your-mouth texture, but also ensures a refreshing finish. The vegetables selected are the popular Kamakura vegetables, favored by women. For the final course, thin pasta noodles are added, offering a delightful combination of shabu-shabu and pasta.

This is a new collaboration between wine and "Washoku" (Japanese cuisine), a culinary art now recognized globally and registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. One must experience the taste of the special "Shabu Chabli."
