EAT | Wine Magazine WINE WHAT Collaborates with Ebisu's "arbluem." A Gift Set of Flowers and Wine for Mother's Day is Born
Just as wine connects people, flowers too can bridge connections between us.
For Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10, 2020, the wine magazine "WINE WHAT" has created a special gift box pairing flowers and wine. The wines were selected by WINE WHAT in collaboration with importers, while the floral arrangements were crafted by florist Tatsuki Yasui, who runs "arbluem" in Ebisu, Tokyo. Why not send a unique gift box—neither just wine nor just flowers—to someone you appreciate, filled with luxurious wine and carefully selected, high-quality blooms?
Orders can be placed
on the WINE WHAT online shop.
Pairing Wine and Flowers
This gift box was born from the sentiment that "just as wine connects people, flowers too can bridge connections between us. Both are, after all, beautiful gifts from nature."
Specifically, it's a pairing of wine, selected by WINE WHAT in collaboration with importers, and flowers that express the image evoked by the wine's character, as interpreted by floral artist Tatsuki Yasui.
The pairing considers not only taste but also the label and bottle design, allowing the wine's world to expand as its image naturally connects with the flowers.
The flowers used are all carefully cultivated by growers, and the process of combining them is akin to the process of turning grapes into wine. As with the wine, the luxurious use of high-quality flowers ensures longevity, and the arrangement can be displayed as a box flower even after the wine is removed.
Who is Floral Artist Tatsuki Yasui?
Representative of arbluem Co., Ltd., which operates the flower shop arbluem in Ebisu, Tokyo. He handles flowers extensively for events, weddings, advertising, music videos, and signage.
He is an emerging floral artist also commissioned for installations at Tokyo Collection runways and high-brand events.
His style, much like that of a winemaker, is one of respect for the flowers. He says, "I am helped by flowers, and I let them use my body to convey their message."
