First Session: July 31 (Wed) from 6:30 PM at "Seven Academy" in Tokyo

The wine magazine WINE WHAT is collaborating with Sekai Bunka Publishing, which publishes magazines and books including "Kateigaho," to host a unique WINE WHAT wine class at "Seven Academy," a cultural center organized and operated by Sekai Bunka Publishing.

Don't worry if the idea of a wine class sounds intimidating. This isn't about studying for a qualification. Instead, we'll explore discoveries like "there are wines like this," "there are regions like that," how to enjoy wine in the first place, and even how wine is covered in magazines. This exploration will be led by Fumihiko Suzuki, president and vice editor-in-chief of WINE WHAT, and Yuko Konno, representative of Almond Inc., which operates "Kokodake Wine," offering wines only available here in Japan. Naturally, we'll be tasting wine throughout.




The first two sessions are scheduled for Wednesdays, July 31 and August 28, both starting at 6:30 PM. The overarching theme is "Cool Climate." The first session on July 31 will feature wines from Luxembourg, a small country nestled between Germany, France, and Belgium. Switzerland is planned for the second session.

What exactly are "cool climate" wines, which are likely to become a future trend? And what is Luxembourg like as a cool wine region, still largely unknown in Japan? Why not experience it firsthand while tasting Luxembourgish wines?



We'll share stories from wineries recently visited and producers encountered, unraveling the "why" and "how" from a wine magazine's perspective, suggesting ways to think about these questions.
