With Numerous Accolades as a Chocolatier
Overseen by Pastry Chef Miyakawa Yoshihisa
The theme for Aman Tokyo's Valentine's chocolates this year is 'A Harmony of Cacao and Tea from Around the World.' Pastry Chef Yoshihisa Miyakawa, who has received numerous awards as a chocolatier and possesses a deep understanding of chocolate, has created sophisticated and flavorful chocolates.
For the bitter chocolates, Miyakawa meticulously selected cacao beans from Ecuador, Peru, Madagascar, and other regions. These are paired with teas from Ronnefeldt, a company renowned for its premium tea leaves, which are also featured in Aman Tokyo's signature 'Black Afternoon Tea,' offering a rich flavor profile.
The set includes five exquisite chocolates: a bitter chocolate from Peru, with its distinct floral aroma, paired with Earl Grey, offering a refreshing bergamot fragrance; and a bitter chocolate from Tanzania, with its nutty, roasted notes, exquisitely combined with chamomile.
The smooth flavors of teas such as Assam, Darjeeling, and Jasmine tea enhance the unique characteristics of the cacao from each region.
Aman Tokyo's Valentine's chocolates are visually striking with artistic, vivid colors, offering a simple yet profound taste. These delicate confections are perfect for gifting to a loved one, regardless of gender.
