Sommelier Hiroshi IshidaThe "Champagne Academie" workshop, led by Hiroshi Ishida, a sommelier familiar to OPENERS readers, will be held over five sessions from April to August at Hotel Nikko Tokyo, where Ishida serves as Executive Sommelier.

Part 1: Seminar, Part 2: Enjoying Champagne and Food Harmony
The "Champagne Academy" offers a chance to savor the effervescence of Champagne with all five senses, guided by Ishida, a world-class sommelier who is one of only two Japanese individuals to have won awards at the Montreal World Competition. Previously known as the Champagne Salon 'NERO' until last year, it has evolved into the Academy this year, marking a further advancement.
The sessions are scheduled for five dates: April 17 (Wed), May 22 (Wed), June 26 (Wed), July 24 (Wed), and August 21 (Wed). The event is divided into two parts. Following Ishida's seminar from 7 PM, which covers production methods, grape varieties, and aging, the second part from 8 PM offers a chance to experience the harmony of carefully selected Champagnes with dishes such as smoked foods and fresh fruits at the hotel's Lounge & Champagne Bar 'Veranda'.
Furthermore, participants who attend all five sessions will receive a diploma and a personalized bottle of Champagne as a gift.
