A New Pre-Dinner Ritual: Elevate Your Bar Time with "Apéro"


At Conrad Tokyo's Bar & Lounge "Twenty Eight," a new offering, "Conrad Apéro," allows guests to enjoy a free-flow of drinks, including eight types of cocktails paired with eight kinds of amuse-bouches, for three hours daily from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Apéro, short for apéritif, is a European custom of pre-dinner drinks, often accompanied by a casual invitation to "have an apéro?" It signifies a delightful time before dinner, spent with favorite drinks and snacks.

The "Conrad Apéro" features a selection of eight types of bite-sized amuse-bouches, each designed to complement a variety of drinks. It's the perfect setting for a relaxing moment after work or a casual gathering with friends. The drink selection includes sparkling wine, white and red wines, beer, soft drinks, and spirits that can be enjoyed in various ways. Additionally, eight signature cocktails, developed exclusively for this menu, are offered. These are bartender selections that add a new accent of herbs and spices to world-renowned traditional cocktails, such as a Singapore Sling with shiso, a Manhattan with ume, a Bellini with chamomile, and a Caipirinha with yuzu. Guests can savor these exquisite creations, a testament to the skill of our seasoned bartenders who truly understand cocktails.

The amuse-bouches offer a unique lineup, including chorizo-spiced octopus, tomato and mozzarella bruschetta, Indian samosas with a crispy pastry shell filled with mashed potato and green peas, and calamari with a yuzu dip, giving a Japanese twist to this Mediterranean snack. Enjoy "apéro" in the open, airy space of "Twenty Eight," with its stunning night view of the Tokyo Bay area, complemented by the eight special cocktails expertly paired by the bartenders.
