The 'Recorking Clinic' was inspired by the practice of Château Lafite Rothschild replacing the corks in old bottles for its patrons. Penfolds introduced this service in 1991 and has since examined over 150,000 bottles of wine in the 26 years leading up to today. Among the world's luxury wine producers, Penfolds is unique in offering such a hospitality-driven wine health check service. Furthermore, the 'Recorking Clinic' holds particular significance because Penfolds wines are recognized for possessing the character, concentration, and balance worthy of significant aging potential.



Beyond a health check for wines, the 'Recorking Clinic' offers a superb opportunity to delve into Penfolds' 170-year history of winemaking and the producers' dedication to their craft. It will also be a forum to converse directly with the winemakers and ask various questions about wine.

While this event is a complimentary after-service for Penfolds' customers, it also serves as the sole occasion for the winemakers themselves to observe how Penfolds wines mature under diverse global conditions.
