Exquisite Chocolate Crafted with a Focus on Cacao


Pierre Marcolini studied at "CERIA" in Brussels, a renowned culinary institute that has produced many hotel managers and chefs. He then honed his skills at prestigious establishments such as "Fauchon," "Wittamer," and "Maille" in Paris before becoming an independent chocolatier in 1994.

In 1995, he won the "Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie" competition in Lyon, earning numerous accolades. In 2015, he was honored with the prestigious title of Purveyor to the Royal Household of Belgium.

Marcolini's signature lies in his meticulous approach to cacao. He personally oversees every step, from sourcing and purchasing beans to selection, blending, roasting, and refining. The carefully selected cacao is stored with great care in his atelier on the outskirts of Brussels, and this dedication results in chocolates with unique and bold aromas.

The "BARNEYS CAFE BY THE CREAM OF THE CROP COFFEE," which opened at the BARNEYS NEW YORK Ginza flagship store, features an exclusive chocolate line developed specifically for BARNEYS NEW YORK.

These chocolates, blended with carefully selected cacao for the optimal balance, are available in three varieties: bitter, milk, and white, presented in elegant packaging.

Exclusive Flavored Teas and Coffee Also Available


The cafe also offers flavored teas from "Betjeman & Barton," a brand founded in Paris. Its exceptional quality has earned it a place in many of Paris's five-star hotels and top restaurants.

A refined Earl Grey, crafted from select Chinese teas and bergamot with the addition of white tips (young buds), is served in exclusive BARNEYS NEW YORK tea bags.

Additionally, the cafe features coffee from "The Cream of the Crop Coffee," a Kiyosumi-Shirakawa specialty coffee shop and a pioneer of the third-wave coffee movement. This original blend for BARNEYS NEW YORK evokes the spirit of New York, combining the deep richness of Colombia, the fruity acidity of Guatemala, and a touch of sweetness. It represents a harmonious blend of history and sophistication.
