July's Cassis Nectar Makes Its Japanese Debut

The "Bar à Chocolat," an eat-in space available at five Jean-Paul Hévin locations nationwide—Isetan Shinjuku, Tokyo Midtown, JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan, Hiroshima Andersen, and Iwata-ya Fukuoka—introduces a summer special. This limited menu is a collaboration with Alain Milliat, lauded in France for revolutionizing the world of juices and nectars. It features a pairing of gateau with champagne cocktails made with his exquisite nectars.

The champagne cocktails use "GUIBORAT," a champagne with a crisp acidity, blended with nectar that boasts rich fruit flavors and fine acidity. This champagne, crafted from grapes cultivated with natural compost and without chemical fertilizers, elegantly lightens the nectar's refined sweetness. Notably, the cassis nectar featured in July's menu is a rare import, making its debut in Japan.

The menu pairings are as follows: in July, the gateau "Violette" with a cassis champagne cocktail; in August, the gateau "Caracas" with a pear champagne cocktail.

Additionally, a limited-edition monthly coffret, a collaboration featuring Alain Milliat's nectars, is available for purchase online. The July set includes Cake Exotic, Sable Chocolat, and cassis nectar, while the August set features Cake au Chocolat, Sable Chocolat, and pear nectar. These are perfect for gifts or for enjoying at home.

Both the bar menu and the coffret sets are romantically named after characters from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream": "Titania" for July and "Hermia" for August. Indulge in a sweet interlude with this dreamlike combination of France's finest chocolate, nectar, and champagne.
