Tastings Are Basically Free! A Chic Atmosphere for Beginners Too

Since its establishment in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1979, Chateau Jun has continued to produce high-quality wines with the careful craftsmanship of a small winery and state-of-the-art brewing equipment. Having won 16 awards over 8 consecutive years at the Japan Wine Competition, it can be considered a leader in Japanese wine, whose quality has dramatically improved in recent years.

Beyond the taste, the label design is also a highlight of Chateau Jun's wines. With a wide variety ranging from calming to avant-garde designs, the "Art Label Series," which features reproductions of painter Millet's masterpieces, is particularly perfect for interior decoration or as a gift! The wines are a feast for the eyes as well.

The renovated wine stand this time has a chic atmosphere that welcomes not only wine enthusiasts but also beginners who are interested but not yet very knowledgeable. Inside, there is a current release corner featuring wines not available anywhere else, and a history corner displaying wines and awards from past Japan Wine Competitions. Tastings are basically free, so you can easily sample any wine that catches your eye!

A corner selling winery wear has also been newly established. The spring/summer collection from "VETEMENTS CHATEAU JUN," which offers the same uniforms worn by winery staff during winemaking, is now available. The sophisticated designs, a hallmark of an apparel maker, are recommended not only for the winery but also for gardening and other activities.

While enjoying food pairings is wonderful, wine drunk with an understanding of the land where the grapes grow and the people who make it is truly special. Why not visit the newly renovated wine stand to find your favorite bottle?
