A Historic Masterpiece Designed in the 1930s, Loved by Many
With its cast aluminum body featuring beautiful curves, the Atomic Coffee Machine is an attractive espresso maker that employs a direct-heat method. Despite its simple structure, it is functional and allows you to enjoy superior taste and aroma. You can purchase it at "Tsutaya Denki," which handles home appliances with both design and functionality, as well as at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books and T-SITE Shopping.

The Atomic Coffee Machine is a historic masterpiece designed by Giordano Robbiati in Italy in the late 1930s. It was patented in Milan in 1974. While this espresso machine, with its striking curvilinear beauty formed by a handmade cast aluminum body and Bakelite knob, was once licensed for production worldwide, its current production numbers are very limited.
The mechanism by which coffee drips from the Atomic Coffee Machine involves pouring water and heating it on a gas stove. The steam and pressure build up, causing hot water to rise through a pipe and collect at the top, extracting the coffee. After coffee extraction is complete, the steam accumulated at the bottom can be used to froth milk, demonstrating a simple yet functional design.
As it is a direct-heat type that does not use electricity, its appeal lies in its versatility, not only for home use but also for outdoor settings. Furthermore, you can enjoy a variety of coffee menus, including espresso, cappuccino, and cafe latte. Above all, its presence, shining like an objet d'art in your room, promises moments of bliss just by looking at it.
Even after nearly 80 years since its creation, the "Atomic Coffee Machine" continues to be loved, offering not only the rich aroma of coffee but also the happiness of the brewing process and a beautiful living space enhanced by coffee culture.
